Roz Hervey made her stage debut in Ariette Taylor's Filthy Children at the age of fourteen. She graduated from the Centre for Performing Arts, Adelaide, in 1984 and joined the One Extra Company in 1985. She has worked with a variety of dance and theatre companies in addition to One Extra including Sydney Front, Theatre of Image, Meryl Tankard Company and Force Majeure, and has toured extensively throughout Australia, Europe and South East Asia with these companies. Hervey has also taught physical theatre techniques for a number of performing arts colleges and youth theatre companies.
Hervey was the recipient of a 2002 Australian Dance Award for outstanding performance in Kate Champions' work for Force Majeure Same Same but Different. She is currently an artistic associate of Force Majeure and the co-ordinator of the movement course for the Flinders Drama Centre.
