Lucy Guerin Inc was established in 2002 to support the creation and production of new work by choreographer Lucy Guerin. The work of the company is renowned for its exploration of human complexity through movement invention and the integration of voice, projection, sound, text and design.

This small organisation maintains an ongoing relationship with a group of performers and range of collaborators. Its activities extend to include commissions, touring, and creative support for young choreographers. The company's programmatic research into choreographic practice is supported through Pieces for Small Spaces, its annual curated program for new dance works by emerging choreographers in Melbourne, and through studio showings of first-draft works through its First Run presentations. It also offers workshops with local and international artists, presents one-off special events and maintains an artist-in-residence program

The 2006 work Structure and Sadness earned the company the 2008 Australian Dance Award for outstanding performance by a company.
